There are no more women in Canada!

Do you think we’re getting too excited about wokism?

That it’s just a young thing, like hats, tattoos and nose rings?

That in two years, no one will talk about this anymore?

Like the eight-track tapes and Bundock’s Christmas record?

Well, think again.

The fever has now returned to the Supreme Court. The highest court in the country.

“INDIVIDUAL WITH A VAGINA”

It’s the National Post who released this news yesterday.

In 2017, a Vancouver man was convicted of sexually assaulting a heavily intoxicated woman whom he brought to his home in order, he said, to “help” her.

The woman says the man took off her pants and raped her while she was unconscious in bed, while the man says it was the woman who took off his pants, that he shook her, because he wanted to wake her up, and once the woman came to her senses, she panicked and started running around the house, because she believed – falsely – that he had taken advantage of her while she was sipping her wine.

In short, a case of “he said/she said”.

The case ended up in the Supreme Court.

Supreme Court Justice Sheilah Martin upheld the trial court’s conviction, but made a point of saying that the use of the word “woman” in the original ruling (“any woman knows when a man between his penis in her vagina”), was “unfortunate” and “confusing”, and that the more appropriate expression “person with a vagina” should have been used.

This, even though neither of the two people involved in this story were transgender!

We are talking here about a biological man and a biological woman.

No matter: for Judge Sheilah, even if the victim was a woman who defined herself as a woman, she should have been referred to as “a person with a vagina”!

Yep.

Here we are, friends.

The highest court in the land says that the word “woman” should be replaced by the expression “person with a vagina.”

That’s what we call woke from woke.

More woke than that, you have an autographed poster of Marie-Louise Arsenault in your office.

JUSTIN TRUDEAU’S CANADA

Which brings us to the quiz question of the week: who named Mme Sheilah Martin on the Supreme Court?

Answer: Justin Trudeau.

The same one who said that you shouldn’t say “mankind» (humanity) but «peoplekind», a term he said was more inclusive.

Whoever comes together comes together, as the other says.

So the next time someone tells you that wokism is a harmless fad that only attracts three pelés and two tounes from UQAM and Concordia, show them this column.

Not only has the virus escaped the laboratory, but it is wreaking havoc in museums, institutions of higher learning, research organizations and, now, the Supreme Court.

Justin Trudeau has not only made Canada a “post-national” country.

He made it into an asylum.
