“There are a lot of people who choose not to fuck anymore”, proud follower of sexual abstinence, the singer Lio goes there frankly!

Founded in 1975, INA, the National Audiovisual Institute, is an organization responsible for archiving audiovisual productions. When you see, in a program or in a documentary, very old images, it is not uncommon to see the famous logo of the institute affixed to the screen, proof that it is an archive image. which has been carefully preserved by the organization in order to be reused wisely.

On Instagram, the INA gives the floor to several personalities to talk about their “favorite archive”, the opportunity to remember an important event or a relevant intervention sometimes forgotten. A few hours ago, it was the essayist and director Ovidie who shared her “favorite archive” which is none other than an interview with singer Lio, in which she confides in her sexual abstinence.

In 2020, live on the program “Boomerang” on France Inter, the artist had indeed declared that he no longer had sexual intercourse: “Me, female desire, I do not know it. I am in abstinence. That makes I haven’t slept since I was 50,” she said before adding: “I don’t want to pay anymore, I don’t want to have a relationship that is one of interest. I don’t want more of this relationship with my body to men and we always ask too much too much compensation from the woman”.

“A lot of people who don’t fuck”
Three years after this revelation, the director Ovidie meticulously analyzes Lio’s words: “She threw a real stone into the pond because she finally revealed the best kept secret in the world, which is that there is a lot people on this planet, who don’t fuck and who choose not to fuck anymore. It’s quite interesting to see that she was more on that side of feminism, a feminism that talks about sexualities”a she asserted. And to add: “It was brave of her because she was not afraid of losing her social value by saying: ‘I withdraw from the game of heterosexuality.’
