Théo Curin has added a string to his bow: that of an actor. After making appearances in Cloakrooms and More beautiful life, two series from France Télévisions, the swimmer took his first steps in a TV movie. In Handigang broadcast on TF1 this Monday, May 2, he gave the reply to Alessandra Sublet, herself a novice in the matter and played a high school student in a wheelchair becoming aware of all the injustices that society causes the disabled to experience. A role that obviously propelled him a little more to the front of the stage.
To occupy one of the main roles of a fiction on TF1 inevitably inflates popularity. But at only 22, Théo Curin is not impressed more than that. On the contrary, he manages to keep his feet on the ground thanks to his slightly “naive“. It is for this reason that he manages to live “normally“despite the many fans he may have now:”I don’t realize. I think I’m still a bit naivehe confided to Michel Cymes in the program The intimate from the Dr Good channel. Even when I manage to get an opportunity, I remain very naive. I don’t worry too much, I don’t add pressure.“
Théo Curin gives himself an indirect mission, that of making people smile again thanks to social networks: “Maybe it’s good to see a guy like me with an atypical body and life. Despite everything I’ve been through, I’m a fulfilled person and I think it can do people good.he continues. The people who follow me, it’s not to see how I’m doing in my daily life but mainly because I think I’m so positive that people use my Instagram account a little to re-motivate themselves, to challenge themselves somewhere and also to answer their questions.“
It was at the age of 6 that Théo Curin saw his life change. At the time, the future athlete contracted a serious illness, bacterial meningitis, which forced him to have his four limbs amputated. After two years of intensive rehabilitation and a meeting with Philippe Croizon, Théo Curin made the decision to take up swimming and take up great challenges. Mission more than successful!
