In Toulouse (Haute-Garonne), a psychiatric patient, deemed dangerous, managed to escape from the hospital where he was interned. He was found a few hours later, but he is the third individual to flee from a psychiatric institute in a week. The safety of these places is questioned.
Arrested a few hours later, a 32-year-old man escaped from the psychiatric hospital where he was interned in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne). His escape mobilized the police all day for fear that he would attack someone. After deliberately knocking down young students, he was declared irresponsible for his actions and locked up in the hospital since 2019.
According to management, he escaped by setting off the establishment’s fire alarm. The delegate secretary, Pauline Salingue, affirms that no fault was committed. “The door was not open, this patient found a solution to get out. The team has a high level of vigilance as we always have on a daily basis”. At the beginning of January, it was the one nicknamed the cannibal of the Pyrenees who had escaped from his psychiatric hospital. An inspection mission of this hospital has been requested.
