The ZAD of Cal’arbre in Saïx evacuated by the police, six people arrested

The police intervened on Friday morning, August 30, in the commune of Saïx to evacuate the ZAD known as Cal’arbre, built as part of the opposition to the construction site of the A69 motorway, linking Toulouse to Castres, announced the Tarn prefecture in a press release. S9 people were arrested during this operation. An opponent was also injured. “accidentally” and taken care of by the firefighters.

On the night from Saturday to Sunday, the opponents had “set fire to a nearby modular” from a motorway construction site in Saïx and “attacked a dealership employee”Sunday morning, while“A municipal police vehicle was also set on fire”according to the prefecture.
