Thibaud Delapart, aka Tibo Inshape, is one of the biggest French youtubers with more than 8.5 million subscribers. The young man from Toulouse has created a large community by posting advice videos related to fitness and bodybuilding. A very popular influencer like his partner Juju Fitcats, the influencer also diversified his videos afterwards, including a series on the discovery of little-known professions. His audience especially started to climb when he added a healthy dose of humor to his bodybuilding and nutrition tips. But in his last video, the young thirty-year-old may have wanted to convey a dose of second degree which was not really appreciated by everyone on the Web.
In a sequence published on Tik Tok, the Youtuber wanted to send a positive message to people with depression. But the somewhat aggressive video was badly perceived by some Internet users who saw a rather negative judgment on the part of Tibo InShape towards sick people to whom he addresses a scathing “Fuck off your depression”. Enough to make many people react on Twitter. “Depression is a disease. Treating sick shit, there are no words to define the shame it is. Tomorrow it could be your brother or your sister, your parents, anyone close to you. You’ll call them shit if that happens @TiboInShape? Guess who’s one now?”, “my depressed son committed suicide because of @TiboInShape bravo complaint filed”, “You see that typically what @TiboInShape does is benevolent abuse.“
A scandal and a controversy that prompted the young man to explain himself on social networks: “Yesterday I did a motivational Tik Tok to help all the people who feel bad about themselves to move forward. My goal was also to motivate people with depression. And unfortunately, not everyone took it that way. Depression is a real disease. It’s hard to get out of it but there are solutions. So I want to apologize for people who misinterpreted my Tik Tok“.
