The village of Tauriac, in the Lot, is forbidden to the press and the curious
this Friday morning. The funeral of Justine Vayrac takes place in the strictest privacy as requested by the family. Residents of the village and surrounding areas attend the religious ceremony celebrated in the Saint-Martial church. Only the family and those very close to the young woman will then go to the cemetery of the town for the burial.
About twenty gendarmes are mobilized all morning and until the beginning of the afternoon to cordon off the heart of the village, at the request of the family, so as not to be filmed or photographed. Respect for bereavement was the watchword of the relatives of the young woman throughout this affair. Justice Vayrac, only 20 years old, was killed on the night of October 22 and 23, after an evening at a disco in Brive, Corrèze. His body was found almost a week later, in a forest, not far from the home of the main suspect. The young man, a 21-year-old agricultural worker, was charged and imprisoned
