Last Tuesday, April 19, 2022 the IGPN, the police force, was seized after the broadcast of a video showing a fight between a policeman and a young person in Blanc-Mesnil in Seine-Saint-Denis. This Thursday, April 21, we learn that the young man involved is filing a complaint.
The story dates back to Tuesday April 19, 2021. A video shot at Blanc-Mesnil in Seine-Saint-Denis is going viral on social networks. We see a BAC policeman, in civilian clothes, and a young man fighting in a building hall. On the video, the entrance to the building is guarded by several people, including one equipped with handcuffs on his belt and LBD in his hand. The Prefect of Police had then decided to seize the police force, the IGPN for “establish the circumstances the facts shown occurred”. The places where the facts had taken place were not identified, nor even the date when the facts would have occurred.
Two days later, this Thursday, April 21, our colleagues from France Info learned from his lawyer that the young man in question has decided to file a complaint.
