It’s a small revolution. A detailed revolution, but a revolution nonetheless. Deprived of its enclosure at the Stade de France, which is getting a makeover before the Olympic Games (July 26 to August 11, 2024) and Paralympics (August 28 to September 8, 2024) in Paris, the XV of France will relocate to the region to play its home matches during the next Six Nations Tournament. This was confirmed by the organizing committee on Monday, May 29, in a press release.

A great first in the history of the Tournament

This edition of the Tournament “will mark the return of the men’s XV of France after the Rugby World Cup in France (September 8-October 28, 2023). For the first time in their history during a Tournament, the Blues will meet their supporters in three stadiumss different in the region”said the French Rugby Federation in a press release.

Fabien Galthié’s team, which will come out of a World Cup organized at home, will therefore continue, in a way, its tour of France by receiving Ireland at the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille (February 2), then the Italy at the stadium Pierre-Mauroy de Villeneuve d’Ascq, an enclosure that she will have discovered during the World Cup (September 14 against Uruguay). Finally, the Blues will challenge England at Groupama Stadium Lyon (March 16) where, again, they will have previously played a World Cup match against Italy on October 6.
