It’s an England new look which appears on Saturday February 24 in Murrayfield, Scotland. The English won their first two matches of the 2024 Six Nations thanks to a more ambitious and creative game than in recent years, as promised by their coach Steve Borthwick. But all was not simple: the XV de la Rose overthrew Wales at home (16-14) on February 10, after having suffered to win in Italy (27-24) when entering the tournament.
For its part, Scotland can still hope to win the Tournament for the first time since 1999, provided they beat the English. The Chardon XV fell at home against France on the second day (16-20), despite a good performance and a rejected try at the very end of the match. The Scots had previously obtained a narrow success in Wales (26-27) for their first match of the Tournament. Full-back Blair Kinghorn, winger Kyle Steyn and third row Jamie Ritchie, absent against France, will return to Gregor Townsend’s starting XV for the occasion.
