Part of the municipality of Puntagorda, in the Canary Island of La Palma, was affected by a forest fire that broke out on July 15 at dawn. The temperature has cooled over the past few days, dropping from 40°C on Friday to 24°C on Sunday, which allowed firefighters to contain the blaze to a large extent.
