the wonder of Selena Gomez, the class of Cate Blanchet, the cape of Omar Sy for a climb up the party steps

An exceptional red carpet for the fifth day of the Festival. Jacques Audiard, always accompanied by his favorite accessory, was surrounded by actresses Selena Gomez, Zoe Saldaña and Karla Sofía Gascón. A few hours later, Cate Blanchett, with her golden dress, also lit up the Croisette.

The first climb of the stairs of the evening was particularly festive in Cannes. We owe this to the presentation of the Mexican musical comedy, “Emilia Perez”, in official competition, by French director Jacques Audiard. A great regular at the Festival since he has already won the Palme d’Or in 2015 with “Dheepan”, the Grand Jury Prize in 2009 with “Un Prophète” and the Best Screenplay Prize in 1996, with “A Very Hero discreet”. In his new feature film, he looks at the story of drug traffickers. In the casting, we find the American-Dominican Zoe Saldana, the Spaniard Karla Sofía Gascón and the American of Mexican origin Selena Gomez, sublime on the red carpet. The appearance of the former Disney star also caused hysteria among certain fans on the Croisette.

As night fell, the red carpet was more sober with the team of the black comedy “Rumours” by directors Guy Maddin and Evan Johnson, presented out of competition. French actor Denis Ménochet and his acting partners were all dressed in black. Fortunately, Cate Blanchett was there to give some glitter in the eyes of her admirers.
