Duhaime carried the puck from one end of the ice rink to the other and fired a shot that moved the ropes.

The goal came about two minutes after Ryan Hartman leveled the score by jumping on his own throw-back. Hartman forced overtime with just three seconds to go on Saturday against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Nick Bjugstad, Jonas Brodin and Matt Dumba also threaded the needle for the Wild, who brought their home record to 4-1 this season. Kaapo Kahkonen ended his working night with 19 saves.

Anders Lee gave the Islanders two one-goal leads, who had amassed at least one point in their last seven outings (5-0-2). Mathew Barzal was involved in both of his teammate’s successes.

On his first start to the campaign, Semyon Varlamov turned 34 pucks back in goal for the Islanders, who continue their 13-game long journey to start the season.
