After sixty-three days of war in Ukraine, discouragement wins the troops. The morale of the soldiers is deteriorating. In Barvinkove, eastern Ukraine, on the front line, everything seems calm. Direct confrontation with the Russians has not yet taken place. But the Ukrainian soldiers are preparing for it, digging ever deeper into their trenches with shovels.

In the surroundings, many destructions are noted. “The Russians have no dignity. They are targeting civilians, not people who are in the army”, deplores a soldier. Weariness is a feeling shared by many Ukrainian soldiers deployed on the eastern front, like a war doctor, met by France Télévisions, without emergency equipment.
