The Vues d’Afrique festival ends this Sunday

The 38and edition of the Vues d’Afrique international film festival will end this Sunday with the announcement of the award-winning films and their screening at the Cinémathèque québécoise (CQ).

The winners will be announced this Sunday at 11 a.m. These films will then be screened at the CQ in two sessions, at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

In addition, Vues d’Afrique will present the last two films in the program in the afternoon, namely the fiction film live to love youby Fatoumata Kandé (CQ at 2:30 p.m.), and the documentary series Exterminate all these brutesby Raoul Peck (CQ at 3:30 p.m.).

Guinea Film, live to love you tells the story of Ary, caregiver of Ishmael, capricious patient at the end of life. From Haiti, Exterminate all these brutes is a documentary series (3 h 52) on the devastating effects on populations of colonization by whites.
