the Vosges adventurer sets sail for Mont Blanc

Who will stop Stéphane Brogniart? Twelve months after his Tour de France in 20 days, two years after rowing across the Atlantic, the resident of Rochesson has found his challenge for 2022! The Vosges adventurer intends to link the crest of the Vosges to the summit of Mont Blanc, on foot and in a straight line, unassisted. “The idea is to go straight ahead, in brutal azimuth, with a route that may give me a little trouble.” The ultra-trailer will actually cross the Jura, the Swiss lakes and the Chablais massif.

A “simple, inexpensive, and proud” challenge

Baptized “Hohneck 4808”, like the altitude of Mont Blanc, Stéphane Brogniart plans to leave at the beginning of next May and should last between ten and fifteen days, with 20 to 25 kilos of equipment. “Nor is it just sporting achievement, [l’idée] is to say that everything to everyone, the adventure is on the doorstep. We don’t have to go to the other side of the world, have challenges that are expensive, because there, it’s absolutely inexpensive.

You can follow Stéphane Brogniart’s progress in his challenge on his website or his Facebook page.
