Let’s go ! This February 12, 2022 is launched the eleventh season of The Voice on TF1. Coaches Amel Bent, Marc Lavoine, Vianney and Florent Pagny have recovered their red armchair to try to find the best Talent. During the first blind auditions, they will have to judge John Palau, a 39-year-old farmer who came straight from the Pyrénées-Orientales. The candidate left his farm to realize his dreams and try to make a career in music, his passion since the age of 8.
“I entered the conservatory to learn to play the trumpet and the transverse flute. As a teenager, I started singing. My voice changed and my friends pushed me to perform in radio hooks in the region“, he confided during an interview for Entertainment TV published on February 7. Jean Palau then devoted himself to singing for several years, until he falls in love at the age of 25 with the one who became her husband, Denis. “I have found the most beautiful happiness: love. I met the man of my life and my musical dreams gradually faded“, he confessed. For Denis, Jean Palau indeed completely changes his life: “I saved the music for the shower and I agreed to follow my companion in his desire to breed horses.“
And in his village of 250 inhabitants, Jean is delighted to have found a family. “IThey adopted us all, without any judgement. For them, we are Jean and Denis, farmers who take care of their cows with passion“, he indicated in the pages of Closer. It is with as much naturalness that the candidate revealed that he was in a relationship with a man on the set of The Voice : “We are aware of the exposure and it is not an inconvenience for us. We both assume our fusional love, so why hide it? Denis is my base.“
A double chance thanks to Nolwenn Leroy
It was only two years ago that Jean Palau reconnected with music, when he set up a recording studio on his farm. Pushed by those around him to start more seriously, he then began to perform in piano bars, until participating in a singing competition in Cannes where he was made spotted by the caster director of The VoiceBruno Berberes. “He offered me to join the selections of the show. As it was only the selections, I let myself be seduced. The Voice represents an incredible chance that does not happen twice in a lifetime“, considers the candidate for Télé Loisirs.
