This Saturday, March 12, 2022 was broadcast the fifth episode of the blind auditions of The Voice on TF1. Like every week, the four coaches have been demanding. We take stock.
DORIAN: LOST ON YOU -LP
Dorian (26) is a dancer and tattoo artist from Paris. It was with a lot of nervousness that Dorian came on stage. He was accompanied by a piano and seduced the four coaches thanks to his very moving performance and his particular tone of voice. All have recognized in particular a certain finesse and mastery in the voice. “Thank you for this beautiful moment“, addressed Amel Bent to him, even admitting that he was his”Thunderbolt“.

JESSIE: BAD BOY – YSEULT
Jessie, 16, comes from Paris. For her, The Voice was not necessarily a dream. And for good reason, the young high school student has always been afraid of competition, because of her physique which, according to her, did not correspond “to the physical criteria of the company“. But today, Jessie is ready to reveal herself on stage. Despite a very nice performance, she is struggling to convince the coaches, who have been held back by “little tics“Luckily for her, in extremis, Marc Lavoine decided to give her a chance.

FABIAN: FEELING GOOD – NINA SIMONE
Fabien (49) came to try his luck with his son Ugo (17). It was separately that they participated in the show. Fabien is the first to have started. He decided to perform the very famous song feeling good by Nina Simone. A very technical and controlled performance that seduced Marc Lavoine and Florent Pagny. It must be said that Fabien already has a small career behind him thanks to his past with the Nor Ecole orchestra. Unfortunately, the young Ugo did not convince as much by rapping on Like a bottle in the sea soprano. Still too young according to the coaches, he was advised to work a little longer.

JUNE: BANG BANG -NANCY SINATRA
Author, composer and singer, June lives from her music. To realize her dream, the 36-year-old candidate manages everything herself, from contracts to finding concerts, to photo shoots for her covers… The Voice is a real springboard for her. To stand out, she took a risk by choosing to resume the cult hit bang bang, in French version. She thus managed to make this song “something unique despite its many covers“, estimated Vianney. And he is not the only one because the other three coaches also tried to recruit June in their team, judging his voice”particular” and very “attractive“.

LEEROY: BEGGIN’ – MANESKIN
Leeroy (20) has several hats: he is a nursing student during the day and a caregiver at night. But almost full time, he is a singer! For four years he has been trying to participate in The Voice, without ever having managed to qualify for the blind auditions. This time it’s the right one and Marc Lavoine and Amel Bent buzzed for him. Completely seduced by his performance, the two coaches even asked for more! The candidate therefore had the opportunity to sing again for them, once again putting a great atmosphere on the set and making the quartet dance. “I have my feet in compote” even declared Amel Bent afterwards, who we remember is still pregnant with her third child.

PAULINA: USEFUL – Julien CLERC
Samuel (22 years old), comes from Belgium. He came accompanied by his sister Pauline, three years his junior and for whom this is his very first scene. It was separately that they sang in turn. Samuel opened the ball on the title City of Light of Gold. Unfortunately, the coaches felt that he had not taken enough risks for his interpretation, despite great mastery and undeniable voice quality. Samuel could then only support his little sister. The latter sang Useful by Julien Clerc. On the one hand, she delivered a version “interesting” for the coaches and on the other, his very deep voice did not leave the jurors indifferent. At least neither Vianney nor Marc Lavoine, who both turned around.

NICHOLAS: AND BAM – MENTISSA
Nicolas, 22, works in a butcher’s shop. He decides to pay tribute to his mother, who died at the age of 32 when he was only four years old. He also dedicates his audition to his father, who took over and raised him and his siblings, alone. Nicolas appeared very touching on stage, showing great delicacy. Amel Bent is the only one to have turned around for him, she who was completely moved by his performance. “I am very happy“, she said enthusiastically.

JEROME: MY REVERENCE – VERONIQUE SANSON
Jérôme is well known in the music world thanks to his talents as a composer. The candidate has already written for … Amel Bent! Indeed, he is the author of some of his most famous songs like you are no longer here and Or I’ll. Jérôme has also collaborated with renowned DJs such as Bob Sinclar, David Guetta and Martin Solveig. The latter also left him a short video message before he passed his blind audition. It only took Jérôme a few notes on stage for Amel Bent to recognize him. Despite “the weird position” in which she admits to feeling, Amel Bent decided to buzz for him, just like Marc Lavoine and Vianney who hailed his great talent.

EMILIA: ANSWER ME – GJON’S TEARS
Emilie (19) is a student in the luxury sector and originally from Switzerland. She participated in her first singing competition at the age of 12, yet she always doubted her voice, never thinking of having a place among the other competitors. Amel Bent and Florent Pagny proved to her that she really had everything to take part in the adventure by buzzing and complimenting her. It must be said that Emilie was very successful in taking over this complicated song.
