New week, new episode of The Voice. A fourth round of blind auditions was broadcast on Saturday March 5, 2022 on TF1 and the teams are starting to fill up seriously! The places are even expensive to continue the adventure with the four coaches, as well as with Nolwenn Leroy. The latter has only one more opportunity to save a candidate. Surprises, emotion and talent… Summary of the episode!
Gauthier: A SONG FOR YOU -DONNY HATHAWAY
Gauthier comes from Nancy and is 20 years old. He is self-taught and learned to sing on his own in his room. Gauthier later decided to perform on social media and with good reason since his first video got over 2 million views. It was with great emotion that he presented himself on stage, thinking of the path he had to cross to get to the stage of The Voice. To stand out, Gauthier took the risk of interpreting a song from a very marked repertoire of the soul universe. He did well since he won over three of the four coaches with his already accomplished vocal technique and his particular grain of voice. “We can sing well and live the song completely, that’s what you did. You’re radiant, handsome, it gives something even more interesting as soon as we see you“, said Florent Pagny in particular.

LENA: NEVER CAN SAY GOODBYE -JACKSON 5
Léna (17 years old) is in final year and is taking her baccalaureate this year. She is very attracted by the worlds of funk, soul and jazz. It is also in a “jazzy” way that she took over the Jackson 5 hit. The version she proposed met with enormous success and the four coaches wanted to recruit her into their team, believing that she had “genuine talent”. “It’s wonderful what you’ve done, quite simply, it’s quite prodigious, it’s velvet… Thank you“, estimated Vianney with enthusiasm.

MORGAN : BODY – YSEULT
Morgane (16) had a revenge to take. Her blind audition was an opportunity for her to take responsibility “with its shapes and curves“, because by singing, she shares the suffering she may have experienced in the past but also the strength thanks to which she got up. It was at the very end that Florent Pagny decided to press his buzzer, unable to let the candidate pass. Very moved, Morgane could not hold back her tears when explaining her choice of song. “For a long time, I considered myself a body and not a young girl and suddenly I wanted to defend this cause.“, she entrusted, arousing the tears of Vianney.

PALOMA: SONG OF OLD LOVERS – JACQUES BREL
Paloma (29 years old) has Andalusian and gypsy origins which opened the doors to flamenco when she was young but also to a whole range of varied music. She is now an author, composer and of course singer. Paloma decided to do a big mix of everything she could learn from music for her performance, taking some liberties with the song. It worked because Paloma made the four coaches turn around! “To be an artist is to create beauty and that is what you have done“, judged Amel Bent.

LUIGIANO: I DO IT FOR YOU -BRYAN ADAMS
Luigiano comes from the Caribbean and has lived in France for five years. His performance was very successful despite the great nervousness that invaded him. Florent Pagny, Amel Bent and Marc Lavoine were won over. “You didn’t sing it like Bryan Adams. I’m very happy to have heard you tonight“, dropped Amel Bent. “When you sing, you take control“, outbid Florent Pagny, emphasizing his beautiful technique and his great voice.

BASIL: WHEN I WALK -BEN MAZUE
Basil (24) is a 3rd year actor at the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts. He is also a guitarist and was a band member until he was 17. An experience that allowed him to do about sixty scenes. But when he decided to become an actor, Basil left music aside. It is only today, eight years later, that he wants to give himself a chance in this field. The candidate did well because he delivered a very powerful performance in front of the coaches. However, it was only in extremis that Marc Lavoine, alone, decided to turn around.

GIADA: BRING ME TO LIFE – EVANESCENCE
Giada Maragno comes from northern Italy and presents herself as a “gothic and slightly crazy singer”. Metal and rock are the styles that drive her and in which she finds herself the most. This is why she did not hesitate to introduce her universe on the famous title of the group Evanescence. This could have surprised and slowed down the coaches and yet, Marc Lavoine and Florent Pagny were sensitive to his obvious talent. “You have your place in this adventure“, estimated Florent Pagny.

AXEL: THE WHOLE UNIVERSE – GJON’S TEARS
Axel is not new to the music business. The 39-year-old Belgian even had the chance to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2014 for his country. But, the candidate then quickly found the course of his life and his work in the administration. With The Voice, he finally hopes to make music his job. For the occasion, he chooses to sing the hit of another Eurovision candidate, (Gjon’s Tears for Switzerland in 2021), and who has also participated in The Voicein the All Stars edition broadcast at the start of the 2021 school year. A successful performance for Marc Lavoine, the only one to have buzzed: “Rarely have I heard anyone live pass notes like you do“.
