The firefighters intervened in the city center of Laval on Monday July 18 in the afternoon. A man drowned in the Mayenne, near the Quai Jehan Fouquet. The firefighters and the SMUR tried for long minutes to resuscitate him, in vain.
The victim, from Reunion, was 37 years old. His family is appealing for generosity for his repatriation to the island in order to organize his funeral, “today we are a family devastated by pain, by the loss of a brother, son, friend, uncle, godfather, dad. This kitty is to pay him a last tribute, so that he can find the path of eternal light with the angels”.
