The war in Ukraine was at the heart of Charles III’s speech. “Europe’s security and our democratic values are under threat. We are shaken by the terrible destruction”said the monarch, in both English and German. “We can draw courage from our unity to defend the peace and freedom of Ukraine”he continued.
