But many are unaware of the “other side” of Johnny Hallyday, which was sometimes not glorious as implied by Patrick Sébastien. Indeed, the one who recently separated from his companion Nana relayed sad anecdotes about the Taulier in his book Live and be reborn every daywhich was published this Thursday, September 29 by XO editions.
The opportunity for the famous animator of Biggest cabaret in the world to come back to the time he had met the ex-companion of Laeticia Hallyday “completely torn” in 2001 while he was in a well-known Parisian restaurant. He recounts the evening at which were the “relatives” of Johnny Hallyday during a birthday in his company. For this great evening, the alcohol flowed freely. “A lot of alcohol. Too much. Especially for the Taulier”specifies Patrick Sébastien in his writings before adding: “Suddenly, I see him tumbling down alone, staggering at the end of the large room. He is looking for the toilet”.
A sad sight that he will never forget…
The rest, the host presents it as “pitiful”, as the Taulier no longer seemed in control of his means to believe his story. “He was pitching between the tables. He fell three times”he recalls before lamenting the fact that “no one dares to intervene”.
A spectacle that Patrick Sébastien has never forgotten, which led him to a sad observation about the man he admired so much. “Ridiculous puppet, the god of the Stade de France had become the shabby star of a show at the end of a wedding banquet. The spectators at this masquerade barely applauded each time they fell”he laments in his book before finally concluding, no doubt with a heavy heart when he wrote his lines: “We felt throughout the assembly this mixture of pity largely exceeded by the pride of attending the event. Johnny stuffed! You’re talking about a legendary moment to tell around you”.
