Still few goals, but two good deals. The multiplex this Sunday March 13 lacked panache, but no interest, especially for Strasbourg, decidedly in great shape in recent weeks and winner of a crucial match for Europe against Monaco. Reims (1-0 in Angers) and Lorient (2-0 in Clermont) also signed fine away operations against direct opponents in the fight to maintain. The Hakes leave the place of roadblocker to Saint-Etienne.
Finally, there was no winner between Metz and Lens (0-0). Back to the matches of a dismal afternoon in Ligue 1, after the whistles of the Parc des Princes for his PSG team, despite the victory against Bordeaux (3-0).
The perf’: Stéphan’s Strasbourg is huge!
Happy are those who bet on such a good season for Racing Club de Strasbourg. Few will undoubtedly have bet on a place on the podium for the Alsatian club ten days from the end. This was however the case, at least before the victory of Rennes in Lyon, after the success of the men of Julien Stéphan against Monaco (1-0). Enterprising and even sometimes frankly attractive, Racing made the difference thanks to the rare spark of the afternoon, the superb chisel of Alexander Djiku (23rd) on receipt of a discount from Kévin Gameiro on a corner.

Monaco, already beaten this week in the Europa League by Braga (2-0), proved to be too little dangerous to hope for such a good result as the victory in Marseille last weekend.
The black series: Angers in free fall
And seven. However at eleven against ten for an hour, the SCO of Angers conceded their seventh consecutive defeat in the league, against Reims (0-1). The Rémois however evolved without a center forward for the majority of the meeting after the exclusion of Anastasios Donis in the 34th minute. But thanks to Alexis Flips and a blunder by Danijel Petkovic, Oscar Garcia’s squad continued their comeback with a fourth game in a row without defeat.
The Champenois climb to 12th place in Ligue 1, six points ahead of their opponent of the day. The Angevins however had a host of chances in a crazy end to the match which saw the SCO touch the post and also finish at ten after the second yellow card received by Vincent Manceau. Not enough to stop this infernal spiral, the worst of the five major European championships. The Maine-et-Loire team is only three points ahead of the red zone.
4.15 – Angers have accumulated 4.15 Expected Goals against Reims, the highest total for a team without scoring in a Ligue 1 game since Opta collected this data (2010/11). Regrets. #SCOSDR pic.twitter.com/KaculA4nYR

The unfortunate: Gastien has in spite of himself sealed Clermont
In the other bout at the bottom of the afternoon table, Lorient hit hard. Christophe Pélissier’s players are leaving the play-off position after their success at Clermont (0-2). Long voiceless, the Hakes had the right to two small boosts from Clermont captain Johan Gastien after the break to leave Auvergne with the victory.
With a badly felt back pass, the midfielder allowed the Lorient “supersub” Ibrahima Koné to find the fault ten minutes after coming into play (0-1, 71st). Then, his deflection from a corner sent the leather directly on the shoulder of the wealthy Léo Petrot who was hanging around to score his first goal with FCL. Gastien came out under the whistle, and the promoted Clermont now points to 16th place, with an increasingly thin mattress of two points on 18th place.
