“The version that interests no one”, by Emmanuelle Pierrot, receives the Prix des libraires du Québec

The book The version that interests no oneby author Emmanuelle Pierrot, continues to arouse interest: the work received the Quebec Booksellers Prize on Thursday in the novel, short story or story category during a ceremony held at Club Soda in Montreal.

The writer, for whom this is her first work, thus got her hands on a $10,000 reward awarded by the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ).

She was notably preferred to Éric Chacour and What I know about youwhich, the day before, won the French Booksellers Prize.

Granby in the simple pastby Akim Gagnon, Hotlineby Dimitri Nasrallah, and Self-portrait of anotherby Élise Turcotte, were also nominated in this category.

In April, Emmanuelle Pierrot won the Literary Prize for college students. The author is also in the running for the 2024 France-Québec Literary Prize.

Camped in the Yukon, The version that interests no one depicts the life of a young woman within a community of marginalized people.

In the essay category, with a $5,000 grant, sociologist Dahlia Namian was crowned for The provocative societywhich denounces the opulence of the ultra-rich.

In the comics category, the prize went to the author and designer Boum for her album A jellyfish.

Juliette Langevin was rewarded in poetry for her collection Mean girl.
