The Vallées farm in Fréchencourt

Adrien Bled perpetuates the family tradition of growing endives in the open ground on the vegetable farm located in Fréchencourt on the banks of the Hallue river.

Since the 2000s, the vegetable production of the Vallées farm in Fréchencourt has diversified widely. Here we cultivate the vegetables of the 4 seasons. If tomatoes, peppers and eggplants delight us in the summer, Adrien and Angélique plant cabbages, leeks, potatoes, carrots … to enhance our cooking in winter.

With the pandemic, we had to improvise to welcome customers and we opted for a prefabricated hangar produced by a Breton company.

The business was carried out smoothly and in one day the hangar was set up. Everyone won, customers were better received and working conditions improved. Three times a week you can come to the market in the store and leave with the vegetables of the moment but also a whole variety of local products, groceries and dairy products. Recently, oranges and lemons from Portugal are a real treat for everyone.

The Ferme des Vallées is also present on the producers’ market rue Léon Blum in Amiens every Saturday morning and a selection of products has joined the OTERA store in Amiens including endives from the ground.
