The Professional Football League (LFP) unveiled the 2022-2023 Ligue 2 calendar on Friday.
The Valenciennes Football Club moves on the occasion of the first day on July 30, 2022: the opponent is not yet determined pending the ongoing procedures related to Bordeauxteam relegated from Ligue 1, and who appealed their demotion to National 1 by the DNCG..
The northern club will close the season with a trip to Saint Etienneanother relegated team, on June 2, 2023.
The twenty teams will compete this season during 38 championship days spread from July 30, 2022 to Friday June 2, 2023 with the multiplex of the final day.

Truce at the World Cup in Qatar and “Boxing Day”
Note that the 15th day scheduled for the weekend of November 12, 2022 will be the last day before the start of the international break for the World Cup in Qatar. The resumption of the championship (16th day) will take place exceptionally on Tuesday December 27, 2022 in the form of a French “Boxing Day”. This special program will also be followed by a 17th day of Ligue 2 on Sunday January 1, 2023.
