Quebec aspires to have the vaccine passport required in the branches of the Société des Alcools du Québec (SAQ) and the Société québécoise du cannabis (SQDC).
The news, first reported by The Journal of Montreal, was confirmed by a government source at Press.
The government is currently working on a plan to implement this measure. The date of the announcement is not yet determined, but it should be made in the coming days.
At a press conference last week, the Legault government said it was studying various restrictive measures that could be imposed on unvaccinated people. This broadening of the application of the vaccine passport would aim to limit travel and contact, but also to encourage the unvaccinated to raise their sleeve.
