Nicolas Sarkozy risks never forgetting his Christmas Eve parties at the Élysée… and even less the very first! We are in 2007 and the President of the Republic must face the sudden departure of his wife Cécilia Sarkozy, after eleven years of marriage and a child. It is therefore with the status of celibate Head of State that he must organize the traditional Christmas meal… even if he was not really!
A few weeks earlier, Nicolas Sarkozy had indeed met the one who would quickly become his third wife, Carla Bruni! If their meeting gives rise to a real love at first sight, the former model turned singer is not yet ready to participate in this social dinner and prefers to decline the invitation.
Nicolas Sarkozy must therefore welcome his guests, alone, and among the guests are … the beautiful Adriana Karembeu! An atmosphere which denotes a bit of that of the New Years Eve of the other presidents but which remains engraved in the annals! The Head of State therefore spends his evening with the pretty blonde… but also Vanessa Hessler, Benoît Poelvoorde, directors Frédéric Forestier and Thomas Langmann without forgetting Albert Uderzo, father of the Gallic hero. The children invited that evening also had the chance to see the film “Asterix at the Olympic Games”, a month before its theatrical release.
Fortunately, the following years, he was able to organize this dinner alongside Carla Bruni with whom he married a few months later. The new first lady in charge of the festivities will even go so far as to invite hundreds of children and organize mini-concerts in which she pushed the song.
