Benjamin Brière and Bernard Phelan, two French hostages held in Iran for 3 years respectively for one and seven months for the second, were released on Friday May 12 and arrived at Le Bourget airport (Seine-Saint-Denis), in early evening. “Ambulances have just passed just behind me in the direction of the hospital at Le Bourget airport, where the two ex-hostages are.”, relates the journalist Matthieu Boisseau, present on the spot.
They will be taken to the hospital
“These first moments back on French soil will take place away from the cameras, in the intimacy”, confides the journalist. Security forces have completely sealed off access to the airport to prevent the public from entering. Benjamin Brière and Bernard Phelan are welcomed with the greatest care because they are experienced. They will probably be taken to the hospital in the next few hours for medical examinations.
