In December 1993, Lydie Logé disappeared in Orne. Almost thirty years later, traces of his DNA were found in Michel Fourniret’s van. His ex-wife, Monique Olivier, will be heard at the cold cases pole in Nanterre on Monday March 11.
For almost thirty years, the disappearance of Lydie Logé in the village of Saint-Christophe-le-Jajolet (Orne) remained a mystery. In 2020, Michel Fourniret and Monique Olivier were indicted for kidnapping and murder. The serial killer’s ex-wife is surely the only one who can indicate where the young woman’s body is. On December 18, 1993, the young divorced mother vanished in front of her house.
Michel Fourniret confessed in a roundabout way
The investigation was closed without further action. But, in December 2019, the case was reopened by judge Sabine Khéris. A dozen unknown genetic fingerprints were taken from Michel Fourniret’s white van, and among them, the DNA of Lydie Logé. In November 2020, Michel Fourniret confessed to the murder in a roundabout way, but his body was not found. For Corinne Hermmann, lawyer for Lydie Logé’s family, Monique Olivier must tell the truth. In December 2023, she was sentenced to life imprisonment for the second time. For justice, Lydie Logé would be the twelfth victim of the Ardennes killer.
