For the twelfth consecutive year, Jean-Jacques Goldman squats the first place in the ranking of the favorite personalities of the French. And in front of “more recent” stars like Kylian Mbappé, Omar Sy, Thomas Pesquet or even Vianney! In any case of those who regularly mark the news by their presence because, let’s face it, we can only note that Jean-Jacques Goldman, who terribly marked the years 1980-90 by his hits and his compositions, in particular for Céline Dion, shines especially in recent years by… his absence. Well, we have to believe not: the interpreter of “Là-Bas” has indeed remained screwed in the hearts of his fans from the start. And among them, host Frédéric Lopez! The presenter of “A Sunday in the countryside” was received this Saturday January 7 at the microphone of Sophie Davant in her program “Delighted to meet you” on “M Radio”. And he took the opportunity to talk about his favorite singer… “Jean-Jacques Goldman is part of my existence”, he launches immediately.
“I even said it on the couch of a shrink”
“First, I was 14 the first time he spoke to Michel Drucker. The presenter had said: ‘Remember his name well’. And me, I took it literally, I remembered his name”, explained the 55-year-old man. He then recounted that he had always listened to it…”What I liked about his lyrics is that it spoke to me. This is your chance, I’ll go after my dreams… He was talking to France from below and it really touched me”, he develops sincerely. The host even admits having written to his idol one day! “He had answered me, and I was very moved because he meant a lot in my life” (…) “I even said it on the couch of a shrink, one day : ‘Goldman is incredibly important to me because he gave me the idea that it was possible’”, he concludes frankly. The father who came out in 2016 had indeed confided last October to “Télé Cable Sat” that he had followed a long path of analysis: “I did ten years of therapy and ten years of personal development, I have more perspective on my childhood”, he confided at the time. And at the crossroads of this whole path of life, were the songs of Jean-Jacques Goldman, which still mark our minds so much.
