The trial of the public prosecutor of Cahors (Lot), Alexandre Rossi, has been postponed until November 22, reports France Bleu Occitanie. He is accused of domestic violence by his partner, who filed a complaint several times at the beginning of April for psychological and physical violence.

The prosecutor was to be tried on Tuesday June 18 before the criminal court of Montauban (Tarn-et-Garonne), but his lawyer, Me Battikh, requested a dismissal, on the grounds that Alexandre Rossi is currently on sick leave, and that his usual lawyer is not available. The prosecution also requested this referral because it wishes to carry out new investigations. The trial was therefore postponed until November 22. Alexandre Rossi remains under judicial supervision, with an obligation of care and a ban on going to his partner’s home.
