The two attackers, with extensive criminal records, will appear from this Friday before the Assize Court of Pau (Pyrénées-Atlantiques). The judgment will last five days. “This trial will help me somewhere to begin my mourning”, recognizes Véronique Monguillot. The two attackers are being prosecuted for intentional violence leading to death without intention of causing it. They face up to 20 years in prison.
