Monday September 25, the trial of Mohamed Lamine Aberouz, alleged accomplice in the murder of a police couple in 2016 in Magnanville (Yvelines) begins. The suspect could receive life imprisonment.
The parents and families of the two murdered police officers are present, Monday, September 25, at the hearing. They promised, they will be on the civil parties’ bench every day facing the only accused in the box, Mohamed Lamine Aberouz, close to the killer, shot dead by the Raid police officers.
He was accused of complicity in terrorist assassination. According to the victims’ lawyer, this man did play an active role in the tragedy. On June 13, 2016, Jessica Schneider and Jean-Baptiste Salvaing were murdered in their home, in front of their little boy, then three years old.
A suspicious DNA trace
The killer, Larossi Abballa, shot dead by the Raid police, had filmed his murders and declared on the video that he was acting in the name of Daesh. But investigators discovered a DNA trace in the living room, on the victims’ computer: that of Mohamed Lamine Aberouz, a friend of the killer. The accused, who maintains his innocence, faces life imprisonment. The trial is expected to last until October 10.
