The traveling scene of Musique(s) en Marche, to bring concerts everywhere in Creuse

Folded up, it’s a normal white truck. But in just ten minutes, it is a real concert stage of 17 square meters coming out of this new vehicle of the Musique(s) en Marche association. This new tool aims to bring music closer to those who are furthest from cultural events in Creuse.

A stage of 17 square meters

And this is no small scene. It can accommodate 15 musicians, with their instruments, and you can even install a piano. “The bars at the top are for hanging all our lights, like in theaters, describes Thierry Bourguignon, the director of Musique(s) en Marche, who is very proud of his new stage. And we are self-sufficient in electricity! “

And on the front of the truck, we can read a quote: “You can’t go to the show, the show comes to you”. This is the whole philosophy of this project. “What matters to us is to get as close as possible to people in sometimes distant places to tell them listen, culture is also for you, it’s culture for everyone, with everyone and in sharing. “, explains with passion the director of the association.

If we wanted to do a concert in the middle of the woods, we could do it.

For the moment, this traveling scene will be filming this summer in the squares of the towns and villages of Creuse. But since the truck is completely electrically autonomous, it gives ideas to Thierry Bourguignon. If we wanted to do a concert in the middle of the woods, we could do it. For example, in Creuse, if we want to go and play in the Bois du Thouraud, well instead of going to play this show in Sardent, we could play it in front of the Bois du Thouraud, and so that gives another dimension to the show.

And to allow access to concerts to as many people as possible, the shows presented with this vehicle are free. This stage truck will be on tour in the department for a whole week, from Monday July 18 to Sunday July 24. First date on the forecourt of the Abbey Church of Sainte Valérie, in Chambon sur Voueize, at 9 p.m., for a concert by the orchestra Departmental of the Creuse.
