Valérie Pécresse, president of the Île-de-France region, was the guest of France 2’s “4 Vérités” on Wednesday July 24.
The first Olympic events begin on Wednesday, July 24. Valérie Pécresse has been working on this date for years. “We are ready, everything is operational, everything starts today, since we have the first events. We will have rugby 7s at the Stade de France, we will have football at the Parc des Princes. It is the first time that we will have 100% public transport services for these two major infrastructures”recalls the president of the Île-de-France region.
While Paris has been under lockdown for days, in a somewhat difficult security atmosphere for the Paris Olympics, the elected official understands the annoyance of certain tourists and Parisians and “especially the distress of the traders. But it is very transitory. And then, they will be reimbursed a hundredfold because here, we are in the process of giving them an advertisement for the Île-de-France which is colossal”.
