the Toulousain Anthony Perez makes the show

The Toulousain Anthony Perez is on his feet. This July 14, in the dantesque stage between Briançon and Alpe d’Huez, the rider of the Cofidis team repeats his attempt from last year, to celebrate this national holiday as it should be.

Anthony Perez passed the summit of the Col du Galibier (2642 meters above sea level) first, before being joined at the head of the race by Louis Meintjes, Neilson Powless and Giulio Ciccone. You have to go the distance: the Col de la Croix de Fer (2067 meters) stands on its way to Alpe d’Huez.

Already distinguished in this Tour

But the Toulousain obviously has energy to spare in this Tour 2022: he was elected “combative of the day” from the fourth stage of the Tour, embarked on the breakaway between Dunkirk and Calais.

A very good omen before the arrival in the Pyrenees. Because everything leads to believe that he also surpasses himself at home: last year, he shone on the 17th stage of the Tour, between Muret and Saint-Lary Soulan, by attacking in the climb of the Col du Portet. He had also been crowned with the title of “fighter of the day.

The Tour de France will be with us first on Sunday July 17 from Rodez to Carcassonne. Then, on July 19, the stage will end in Foix. The next day, the riders will leave Saint-Gaudens for Peyragudes. Finally, on July 21, for the farewell to the mountains, the stage will take place between Hautacam and Lourdes. To be continued of course on France Bleu Occitanie.
