Urban Transhumance in Villenave-d’Ornon
Unmissable back-to-school event, urban transhumance makes a comeback to Villenave-d’Ornon with a 13th edition focused on the terroir, its know-how and its traditions. It will take place on Sunday, October 2, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Like every year, this great pastoral festival in VillenAVais will be divided into two stages. A morning walk, followed by a gourmet market and an afternoon full of entertainment. Young and old walkers are invited to follow in the footsteps of the shepherd and the procession of sheep, for an 8 km urban walk. The departure meeting is scheduled for 8:00 a.m. at the Baugé farm (coffee reception and cheese tasting on site), with the march starting at 8:45 a.m. The arrival will take place at 12:30 p.m. at the Domaine de la Junca (path of Cadaujac). The course will be punctuated by festive breaks. On arrival, a gourmet market will allow you to eat on site, with stands of local producers and restaurateurs. For the occasion, the City of Villenave d’Ornon is setting up a major drawing competition, open to all, entitled “Draw me a sheep”. The drawings will be classified into three categories: 3-6 years old, 7-12 years old and 13 years old and over. They will then be submitted to public votes on the day of Urban Transhumance. Each cartoonist who receives the most votes in his category will be awarded a winning prize. The award ceremony will take place on site at 3:30 p.m.

On May 11, 1988, Le Grand Bleu by Luc Besson was released in cinemas. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the film, two exceptional performances took place in Paris in May 2018 (sold out). Buoyed by this success, the Grand Bleu cine-concert is going on tour in France, Belgium and Switzerland. Eric Serra and his musicians invite us to rediscover this essential work of French cinema, which they perform identically on stage during the screening of the film.for an exceptional immersive experience.
