“It’s great what they are doing with this piano!” The “Aux Actes Citoyens” festival has only started for a few minutes, and Claudine is already in heaven in front of the show of the duo “Il Grande Piano”, which mixes dance, song and music played on a huge piano on which the artists walk. to operate the keys. With her friend Claudine, they are great regulars at the event which started this Saturday, May 21 in Tomblaine, and which lasts until May 28.
A diverse program
During these seven days will follow one another plays, more experimental shows, dance and music, under the patronage of the sponsor of this edition, the humorist Titof. Among the headliners, Daniel Auteuil, Claudia Tagbo or Michel Drucker. It is him that Monique and her friends, faithful among the faithful of the festival, are waiting for. “We’ve been coming every year for years, and we see almost everything! We have to take care of ourselves”smile the retirees.
On this first day, all generations have found their account. Nine-year-old Olivia and her little sister come out of a children’s dance show delighted. “You can tell they’ve been training a lot!”
The “living and local” theater
The pleasure is also perceptible on the side of the artists. Isabelle Starquier, at the head of a theater company, attracts spectators under a small umbrella installed outside. Inside, she plays an excerpt from Les Femmes savantes, by Molière. “It is true that the condition of women has not changed much”notes a spectator at the end of the tirade.
Mission accomplished for the actress: “The theater allows intelligent entertainment. Our goal is to bring it back to the heart of the city, we must once again tell people that it is a living and local tool.” With the dozens of pieces offered throughout the week at Tomblaine, the objective seems to have been achieved.
