French actress Nicole Garcia, who was due to perform at the Théâtre du Nouveau Monde in June, recently had to undergo surgery which forced the postponement of the play Royan, the French teacherin which she stars.

As the operation requires a three-month convalescence, the TNM was forced to announce the postponement of the five performances of the show in June 2023. Nicole Garcia indicated in a press release that she was “deeply sorry to miss this appointment you important with the Quebec public, because her desire to burn the boards of the TNM with this creation written for her by Marie Ndiaye was vibrant”.
