The sentimental song, the romantic song, the crooner’s song is intended to make us dream. And we do not dream at all times in the manner, in music as in all the arts.
So among the interesting musical moments of this coming year we have found The time of love by Françoise Hardy. But, almost sixty years after the original version, the rhythm is very different, more marked, deeper, and the voice more padded, foggy but fuller – it’s a remix, the remix of Bon Entendeur, a French trio that works a lot about the trituration of sound universes that we know well. We notably noticed them in 2019 for a remix of the song The weather is good, originally recorded in 1971 by Isabelle Pierre. And it feels like the old colors on a vintage slide are both pastel and saturated.

Remember: during the summer of 2019, La Playlist de Françoise Hardy was a journey through the musical baggage of an author, composer and performer considered to be the arbiter of the elegance of pop in France.
In July and August 2017, we spent Un été en Souchon, during which Alain Souchon guided us on a tasty walk through a lifetime of love for song.
