The three people suspected of having kidnapped, assaulted and kidnapped a 15-year-old minor in Saint-Avertin in Indre-et-Loire were sentenced by the Tours Criminal Court to sentences ranging from one to two years in prison, fully accompanied by probationary stay, reports Wednesday April 10 France Bleu Touraine.

After prolonged police custody and a night in prison, the three individuals aged 18 will not return to the remand center. Instead, they are placed on probation for two years and are prohibited, in particular, from coming into contact with the victim. They must also repair the damage caused.

All three have no criminal record. During the hearing, they all expressed remorse. The court finally decided to sentence the man described as the ringleader to two years in prison with a fully suspended probationary period. The other two received 18 and 12 months in prison, again fully suspended on probation.

A story of revenge

All three were suspected of having kidnapped and kidnapped a 15-year-old boy on Sunday April 7, then of having contacted the victim’s mother to demand a ransom in exchange for his release. The alleged kidnappers were arrested during the meeting arranged with the mother. The victim was in the car with the three suspects. In a state of shock, the teenager, who showed signs of blows to his face and hands, was taken to hospital.

The first elements of the investigation revealed that it was a story of revenge between the individuals. The victim – known to the courts for drug cases – is in fact suspected of attempting to extort money from the father of one of the three suspects implicated in this kidnapping. “I reacted quickly”admits the one who wanted “just avenge [son] dad”. He adds : “I shouldn’t have wanted to take justice into my own hands, I should have called the police”. The other two regret not “knowing how to say stop”.
