Christine Beaulieu grew up in Pointe-du-Lac, a municipality located on the shores of Lake Saint-Pierre and now merged with Trois-Rivières.
“It all started in Trois-Rivières for me. It’s here that I discovered theatre. My two sisters still live in Trois-Rivières and I come back as often as I can,” explains the actress, who will begin filming the fifth season of the series in August. The eye of the storm.
“I love this city; the people are warm, very sociable. For me, Trois-Rivières is family, adolescence… It’s my world.”
Christine Beaulieu has also agreed to become an ambassador for her hometown’s tourist attractions. “My salary is entirely reinvested in the Trois-Rivières tourism industry. It allows me to discover new places and rediscover the ones I love, like Boulangerie Guay in Pointe-du-Lac, which serves the best beers in the world!”
“I am proud to come from Trois-Rivières. I still have the accent and I never want to lose it! It says where I come from. When Véronique Claveau imitates me on the show See you next weekI recognize my Trois-Rivières accent, even if she pushes it a little!”

Cogeco Amphitheatre
“This huge outdoor performance hall is located at the confluence of the St. Lawrence River and the Saint-Maurice River. The programming is excellent. Every summer, Cirque du Soleil presents a tribute show. This year, the theme of the show is the RBO group. I never miss this event with my whole family. What’s great is that the amphitheater is located a few minutes’ walk from the city center. You can eat at the restaurant and then walk there!”

Le Buck Restaurant
“This gourmet bistro on Saint-François-Xavier Street has a huge hidden terrace that is very quiet. It is one of the most beautiful terraces in Quebec, in my opinion. The menu is very good, very accomplished, and composed mainly of local ingredients. It is one of my favorite places to eat. In fact, I am going there tonight!”

Time for a pint
“It’s the perfect place to spend an evening chatting with friends. Since it’s a microbrewery, they make their own beer, which is very good. The food is excellent too. When I go there, I often have one of their tartares or a good salad. It’s a great place to go out in the evening.”

KiNipi Spa
“I go to this Nordic spa every year with my sisters. It’s very beautiful, very well done. There’s even a small apartment that you can share with a couple of friends to stay on site. The spa is great and the food is also very good. On the other hand, I prefer to go when it’s cold. I find it more trippy!”

Borealis Museum
“This very interesting museum is dedicated to the paper industry. It’s a magnificent place… and after all, Trois-Rivières is the city of paper! This is where the wooden pitounes arrived to be transformed into paper. There are still paper mills in the city. When I smell the paper, I know I’m back home!”

Sea Shack by the lake
“I recommend people to take the detour via Pointe-du-Lac to go along Lake Saint-Pierre. They can stop at this seafood snack shack that serves breaded shrimp, fish… It’s like being in Vermont! Right next door, there’s a beach with an extraordinary view of the lake, which is a mecca for kitesurfing. You can just sit and watch the show!”
