During the pandemic, the Legault government has always affirmed that it bases its decisions on scientific data. However, in the case of the third link, science takes the edge in favor of the political ego of a Prime Minister who is surfing on an electoral promise from the 2018 campaign.
On this subject, I must admit that I am tired of the rantings surrounding this project. When we do not rely on conclusive studies, we leave room for demagogic wandering. How can we spend seven billion dollars on delusional impressions of politicians in lack of visibility?
The lack of studies on the need for a Quebec-Lévis tunnel undermines the credibility of the CAQ project. Moreover, for lack of arguments, Legault admitted that in the end, he was going to decide by a political decision.
To this end, has it not often happened that a bad political decision is the result of ridiculous stubbornness on the part of governments which painted themselves in the corner to demonstrate that they held a revealed truth only themselves ?
