Her husband, Jean-Jacques Debout, has just revealed to our colleagues at “Gala” to have been affected by prostate cancer. “I had prostate cancer. I almost went through it. Chantal took me every day for radiotherapy at the Institut Curie. I was saved at the last minute”, slips Jean-Jacques Debout in the pages of the weekly. It is in particular thanks to the support of Chantal Goya that her husband managed to recover. In “Gala”, he evokes another painful period in his life during which he was also able to count on his wife. “At one point, nothing was working and I found myself facing a terrible void. I no longer believed in myself, I had the feeling that I had missed everything … I was hospitalized”, reveals Jean- Jacques Standing.
For her part, Chantal Goya also spoke in “Gala”, aware that her strength of character played a lot. “I do not know how to comfort, console someone. I do not understand these things, I am never saddened by what happens to me and it is my strength I believe”, declared the singer before concluding: “I react and I organize.
