The largest “safe place” in Paris will open on Sunday and until September 8, on the Terrasse des Jeux located in front of the Hôtel de Ville, to welcome all those wishing to protect themselves from sexist and sexual violence, Mouv’ reported on Friday July 12.
This protected space will be able to accommodate several thousand people who will be able to benefit from the support of several feminist associations helping victims such as “En avant toutes”, “Elles imaginent” and the Paris Center for Information on the Rights of Women and Families (CIDFF).
“This allows victims not to be alone in facing what happened and also allows us to send a signal to the whole world, to say “Here we do not tolerate these facts”, explains Louise Delavier, senior program director in charge of field actions for the association “En avant toutes”.
Several other “safe places” will be deployed in the various district town halls during the Games.
