Here is now that ChatGPT 4 arrives in the world of work, and then in its stride its competitors Google Bard or Claude. American researchers from OpenAI, the parent company of ChatGPT, associated with those from Open Research and the University of Pennsylvania have tried to measure the potential influence of artificial intelligence on a thousand professions in the United States. First conclusion, eight out of ten workers in these sectors studied could be affected by these new tools. But to varying degrees, scientists have undertaken to list the main tasks of each profession to see which would be most affected by artificial intelligence. Result: 80% of businesses would see at least 10% of their tasks affected by ChatGPT and others. The researchers even identify 19% of the professions on which conversational robots would impact no less than half of their tasks.

The trades most affected are primarily interpreters and translators. Followed by the writing professions of writers, lyricists and even poets. Then come the journalists. Moreover, the American media CNet has already dismissed a dozen journalists for these reasons. Also listed are stenographers and legal assistants. Public relations specialists, mathematicians, accountants, blockchain engineers and web and digital interface designers.

Highest earning jobs at risk

According to the researchers, the high-income jobs that are most likely to be disrupted. For these, the use of computer software is central. Jobs that require programming and writing skills are at the heart of the cyclone. Unlike labour-intensive industries, which should escape the artificial intelligence revolution, such as logging, social assistance or the food industry.
