Nine individuals were arrested after the incidents during the OM-OL match on October 29, during which the bus of the Lyon delegation and that of OL supporters were the target of stone throwing. Among the perpetrators of this stone-throwing, Thomas S., 22 years old. Appearing at the Marseille criminal court on Thursday, November 23, the man, unknown to the police, received a four-month suspended prison sentence, five years of probation and a three-year ban on playing in the league. Prosecutions for acts of violence and degradation abandoned

The trial, initially scheduled for immediate appearance on October 30, was postponed at the request of Thomas S., through his lawyer, to prepare his defense. He was then placed in pre-trial detention, the public prosecutor believing that his action was premeditated.

Arrested by the police wearing a balaclava, the young man admitted his involvement in the stoning of one of the buses. According to him, his action followed the receipt of a projectile on him a few moments earlier. Thomas S., who faced a sentence of up to 10 years in prison, was acquitted for acts of violence and degradation.
