Quickly led by the XV de la Rose, the Scots reversed the situation at the end of a breathtaking meeting on Saturday in Edinburgh.
The thistle was much more pungent than the rose. Traveling to Murrayfield, Scotland’s lair in Edinburgh, England were overtaken by the inspired Scots on Saturday February 24, during the third day of the 2024 Six Nations Tournament. The XV de la Rose had however ideally launched his match, with an early try from George Furbank (5th). At the end of the first quarter of an hour, the English led 10-0.

On a great day, Duhan van der Merwe consolidated this lead from the restart by flattening a third time (45th), a first for a player against England in the Six Nations Tournament.
Immanuel Feyi-Waboso’s reduction in the gap could have put the English back in the match (67th), but Finlay Smith sent the conversion onto the post. England, who could have returned to a converted try from Scotland, then suffered at the end of the match. Winners 30 to 21, the Scots sign a second success in this Six Nations 2024.
