The Maritimes won the first Champions Cup title in their history on Saturday.

Unbreathable. The last minutes of the Champions Cup final between La Rochelle and Leinster on Saturday 28 May kept spectators at the Stade Vélodrome spellbound until the end. After ten minutes spent around the Irish in-goal, Arthur Retière ended up finding the loophole to offer the first Champions Cup title to the Maritimes after a final lost last year against Toulouse.

Before that, the Rochelais had been able to hold in defense against the formidable offensives of Leinster by not conceding any try. Many penalized, the Yellow and Black still conceded seven penalties from the irresistible Jonathan Sexton. But they were able to score three tries to win 24-21 and mark the history of their club.
